I know I am not supposed to be here but oh well :P… I came across this Nikon catalogue which i kinda took in secret from a photo shop in Japan so kinda tempted to show this to you guys.(i think its FOC). Half of it is in Japanese (of course..^^) but thats not the main point here… you dont have to read the Japanese parts anyway..

Look at the different photos shown. These photos really do show the difference in perspective and focal length and they make rather good comparisons. Well, for those in photog ive taught you guys these already but do look through to refresh some of your memory…(IF YOU STILL DONT KNOW…T_T)

(CLICK TO ENLGARGE)
Oh and the most interesting part is the censor size shown below the  ‘focal length’section. Shows the difference in the censor size and what you see in the viewfinder.
1.FX Format 35mm (FULL 100%- for cams like D3s and SLR cams like F3/FM2)
2.Size of what you usually see in the viewfinder (of course what you see in your viewfinder is not 100%…thats why when u take pics… your picture produced may be slightly bigger than the picture u see in your viewfinder..)
3.DX Format (for those holding onto DX cams… or using any DX lens…this is the size of your censor.. of course, its ‘cropped’. )

For the Perspective section right… the wider your focal length, the more ‘dynamic’ your picture gets. :D. Do observe/take a look at the photos shown.

(its rather amazing to find these in a catalogue actually. well of course, it included the lenses Nikon is currently selling but to show the difference between perspective and focal lengths in a catalogue is rare! I dont know about local catalogues though. :\)

check out the sony NEX and panasonic GF 1. both very chio!
I didnt know about the sony nex till a few ppl mentioned it in facebook. For the above page, look at the difference in DOF (depth of field) on the left hand corner :D.

sheen. thanks to nikon.
